Local restaurateur Miff Kayum has brought his award-winning Indian curries back to Winchester by launching The Bengal Sage this week in the site previously occupied by the Bangkok Brasserie ( 72 St. George's Street ).
Miff, who cooked with Gordon Ramsay last year as a semi-finalist on the F-Word's Restaurant of the Year competition, is proud to use locally sourced and organic produce.

'The food on The Bengal Sage's menu is different from a traditional Indian restaurant - the dishes are subtle and complex, the sauces are light' says Miff. The menu includes dishes such as 'Broughton Water Buffalo Bhoona' and 'Zyava' which is an intriguing combination of dark chocolate and Tamarind.
